I am a huge skincare junkie, in case you didn’t already know. For me it is a self care ritual, that makes me feel good about myself. If nothing else goes right in my day, I know that I start and end my day taking care of myself.
I admit it is a pretty pricey addiction, but hey, at least it’s good for me? While I love a good drugstore find, there are certain products I believe are really worth splurging on. I recently attended an event at my favorite place to find natural beauty products, Citrine Natural Beauty Bar, and was introduced to the woman behind Tata Harper Skincare.
Tata was so sweet, knowledgable and passionate. Her story was inspiring – she couldn’t find 100% natural products that met her high standards, so she decided to make them! She refused to follow the typical development process, where a lab provides you with a generic base product and you simply insert ingredients unique to your brand. So, she began making the products herself on her farm in Vermont! To this day, all of Tata’s products are made on her farm from naturally derived ingredients. Each bottle contains up to 29 active ingredients, something that really stood out for me compared to other natural skincare lines.
I’ll be honest, other natural products I’ve tried haven’t felt as effective as the more clinical skincare lines I’ve used. But, this natural skincare line I can really get behind!
I’m completely aware that natural products can get really pricey, I myself use a combination of natural and clinical products. But, I decided to try out an entire Tata Harper regimen the past month or so and let you guys know which of the products I felt were worth splurging on.

I’ve got serious dark circles and can get really dry in the corners of my eyes. I’m officially OBSESSED with this eye cream, and will 100% be buying it again. Out of all the products in the line this is my favorite. The bottle is a good size and you literally need the TINIEST bit, a little goes a long way.
In my opinion, eye creams and serums are the two things you can’t skimp on. This serum is collagen boosting and has tons of anti-aging benefits. Which apparently matters now that I’m in my mid-twenties, so that’s cool. The scent is very soothing and my skin has a nice tightness and glow to it. I only wish I would have got the bigger bottle, this smaller size ran out pretty quickly. I shared some other great serum options in this blog post.
I really really love this cleanser, it’s a great exfoliant, not to harsh and can be used every day. My skin can get pretty dull, but this is supposed to help keep your skin moisturized, balanced and glowing. Not to mention, it smells amazing! I’m considering re-purchasing the larger 4oz bottle of this stuff and making it last longer by not using it every single day.
I forgot to photograph this product, but I LOOOOVE a good mask on a Sunday. Or, any day really. The product description says ” works like a traditional peel to provide instant solution for dull skin – without causing downtime or irritation,” and I couldn’t have said it better myself. Any product that makes you see or feel instant results is worth the splurge in my book. It isn’t one of those fun masks that goes on green and looks cool on your Instagram story, but it gets the job done.
This product I did not think I would like, my skin is more on the oily side so I always thought using an oil wouldn’t be a good idea. I was told that using high quality oils can actually help balance out the skins oil production. It worked really well removing makeup, especially long lasting lip stains that are tough to remove. But, truthfully I found myself just double cleansing and forgetting to reach for this product at night, probably not something I would personally re-purchase. If you wear long lasting lipstick a lot this would be good to have on hand.
This product doesn’t deserve to be at the bottom of any list, it truly is a great moisturizer. It’s very milky and the scent is natural and soothing, I loved using it all over my neck as well. The only reason it falls towards the bottom is because it’s pricey and I used so much of it. I’m afraid it would run out too quickly and I would break the bank replacing it so often. If that is something you’re not too worried about it then definitely give it a shot. If you’re like me, I shared some other less pricey moisturizers that I love in this blog post.
This product, again, lands towards the bottom based on just a personal preference. I’ve tried some other floral type essence/toners, and while this one is a really great quality product, I’ve found that I prefer cucumber scents over floral scents. I feel like some of the floral sprays make me want to sneeze.
Is a great option if you want to try out the Repairative Moisturizer, Rejuvenating Serum, Hydrating Floral Essence and Nourishing Oil Cleanser – I purchased a holiday set that came with a full size moisturizer and smaller travel size of the other products.
This is another great set. Only $70 and you can try the Regenerating Cleanser, Hydrating Floral Essence, Rejuvenating Serum, Repairative Moisturizer, Resurfacing Mask, Restorative Eye Creme and Replenishing Nutrient Complex. Figure out which products you like best for you.
I will be doing a HOLIDAY GIVEAWAY some time before Christmas! I’m currently gathering a few of my favorite products/things from this past year to giveaway as a thank you to everyone who has shown their support for Life Off The Reel. The Tata Harper Restorative Eye Cream will be included in the giveaway, so keep an eye out for that!
